Imagine, in the days before science, what the people of planet Earth would have made of the shapes of clouds. Did they see in them some foreboding, some terrible portent of things to come? Or would they just have seen the shape of their pet dog and had a good laugh about it? Whichever (or both) clouds can sometimes come in the strangest of shapes. Personally, if I was going to personify clouds, I wouldn’t describe them as lonely…I see them more as mischievous, and every now and again, someone with the foresight to carry a camera, catches them in the act of mimicking what they see below them….before they re-disperse into in-coherent innocence.
