In the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, just on the Tennessee side of the North Carolina border, is breathtaking Clingman's Dome. The site is breathtaking both because of its stunning beauty and because the uphill walk from the parking lot to the lookout tower will leave the less fit hikers out of breath!
